Womens Roman Costumes
In Roman times we know men wore a knee-length long or short sleeved tunic called a Chilton. Most wore a cloak over the top, Important Romans dressed in a long robe called a toga. Women wore a longer tunic, over this they draped a stola from neck to ankle, fastened at the shoulders with clasps. Which is exactly what our authentic Roman and Toga party costumes are based on with a Gladiator or two thrown in for good measure.
